†Tis’ the Season! †

This year instead of buying all of “KickBack’s” teachers a gift I decided to make goodies for the entire daycare. I think the previous year I did goodies bags with gift cards, candy and things of that nature. Because his daycare is so small a lot of the staff rotate into different classrooms; so financially there was no way we could get everyone a really nice gift. So we decided to bake! And boy was it fun. “KickBack” ate majority of the cookie dough! (However, I’m not sure if that was a good idea lol) We made sugar cookies and used cookie cutters to make gingerbread men, Christmas trees and stars. We later made chocolate covered pretzels, which I was really mad about because I meant to get white chocolate, so I could put food coloring in it. But it still turned out nicely. Lastly, we made my yummy chocolate chip cookies!!! Put everything on a nice decorative Christmas dish, wrapped it up, sealed it with a nice note…. and BAM! Everyone had a treat from “KickBack” ♥

Later when I was all alone I decided to make a gingerbread house…. This was my treat to myself! lol I didn’t want the baby to mess it up.

 Because I was in such great spirits to cook this year, I also decided to make my FIRST Christmas dinner for my family at home. Yea! the feeling was a little odd to me too. But I went through with it and boy was it good!! I made: Baked Turkey, Pinto Beans, Bake Mac & Cheese, COLLARD GREENS :-), Yam Soufflé, Homemade Biscuits and C-Loaf! (you probably don’t know anything about that if you’re not from the south, but it’s a form of Chitterlings by Neese’s and it’s gooood!) God and I had a conversation, and I put nothing but LOVE and time in this meal. Needless to say “Mr. Big” thought it was finger licking good too! 🙂

Leftovers!

So a few days after Christmas, because it was just my small family eating, I decided to freeze a few of my favorites and then use the leftover turkey to make Turkey Stew!↑↑ lol Yea your girl be cooking♥
